This past week I've been working on a larger version of a painting I did a couple of years ago. Just for fun, here are two days' progress from the easel on the new one (30" X 30") as well as the earlier painting (12" X 9") completed in 2014. I've always loved the composition of this image.
It's exciting to be working on a larger scale: space for real brushwork, more room for pictorial elements, new freedom with color.
